Of Mice and Men Section 1

Section 1 introduced the two main characters to us. One is George, he was smaller and quicker than other people, dark of face, with restless eyes and sharp, strong hands, slender arms, a thin and bony nose. He has a short temper and he was always really brusque to Lennie, which is his friend, a huge man, shapeless of face, with large pale eyes, with wide sloping shoulders, and he walked heavily, dragging his feet a little and his arms hung loosely. Unlike George, He likes animals very much because his aunt Clara give him every mouse she got when he was little, but she stopped giving them to him because he always accidentally kill them. He is really nice and kind, and he always listen and do what George says, which is the opposite of George. He forget things in a short time, so that's why George always get annoyed by him, he always call him crazy bastard, but when Lennie is not there, he call him poor bastard. Lennie always like to imitate George. Even though George seems very annoyed by Lennie all the time, and he always use mean words to speak to Lennie, but he really cares about him, he wished to be rich, but he can't leave Lennie alone to grant his wish, so he have been caring for Lennie for a long time even though he always get him into trouble and make him loose his job, in the book, George said:"No-look! I was jus' foolin', Lennie. 'Cause I want you to stay with me. Trouble with mice is you always kill'em. First chance I get I'll give you a pup. Maybe you wouldn't kill it. That'd better than mice. And you could pet it harder." They felt lonely because they are the people who work on ranches and have no family and home, but they also got each other. The author used really beautiful sentences that made me feel like there is a colorful picture appear in my head.
