Section 1 Of Mice and Men

I thought that it was kind of odd that Lennie would want to hold on to the dead mouse. If I had a dead mouse, I would not keep it. I was wondering if it reminded him of his family? because in the story he explained that his aunt used to give him mice to pet while she was still alive. I was thinking that maybe it had to do with his family. Even after George told Lennie to put it away back into the nature, he still went back to go find it.  I thought that this was kind of strange. Another thing that I thought was strange was how Lennie immitated everything that George did. When George sat the way he did, Lennie followed. To me this kind of seemed like George had more power than Lennie did and George was kind of more in charge. Any thoughts? What do you think?
