Section 1 OMAM
In section one of OMAM I learned a lot about the personality and way of thinking of Lennie and George. Lennie was interested about the world around him, but he had a hard time doing that. He had a wider imagination than George, and a better attitude. George needed to care for Lennie and help him through this journey, but he didn't seem to be very patient or understanding with Lennie. He referred to him as a "crazy bastard". This would be like someone's mom calling their kid an idiot. I predict that George will develop a more parental figure as the story goes on.

I completely agree with you, Ellie. It was wrong of George to call Lennie a "crazy bastard" and do all of the thing that he did to Lennie. However, I noticed that George seemed remorseful of his harsh actions towards the end of the section. He apologized to Lennie and told him that he was being mean and didn't want Lennie to leave. This shows that George does care for Lennie and is trying to be patient on some level. They seem to share a very close bond and I predict that they will stay together to protect each other.
