I think that poor people should get a job, or at least try the best that they can. I think that they should get a job so that they can earn their own money and not have to borrow from others any more. If they earned their own money, then they could help those in need until they are ready to get their own job. This would be a thoughtful thing to do. This way, their family and friends could keep that money to maybe get food for the children, or buy clothing for their families. They could rely on others for a little while, but at some point, they would need to get a job.
I think that there are people out there who would argue for the other side of this statement as well. Most definitely think that you could rely on your friends and family for money, but that is costing them money to. If they could, I think that they would need to get a job to support there family instead of draining others' money.
What are your thoughts? Do you think that those who are poor should get jobs? Or should they stay relying on family, friends, and church?
